I got my official time for my 9km run yesterday…
Got my official time this year for the bridge run:
0’56’18
Last year, my time was 0’57’32.
That’s 1 minute and 14 seconds off.
I’ll take that…
Word.

The boring train ride home after completing 9km bridge run at Blackmores Sydney Running Festival. I hope my SO makes me breakfast again!!! (Taken with Instagram)
Last night’s dinner - mini beef burgers with salsa, scrambled eggs, avocado and sweet potato with cinnamon (Taken with Instagram)
Crazy work week.
I am okay but still need to spread the word.
Dinner tonight - beef tri tip, brussel sprouts and bacon.

I have been missing in action again.
I had a change of roles at work, illness and I also started back at uni, picking up a second subject on the weekend meaning less flexibility so I decided to leave my crossfit gym (getting up at 4.45am, catching a 5.45am train, getting to the city by 6.30am, walk about 20 minutes and only making the 7am class then getting to work by 9am was eating into too much time in my day).
It was sad to go because I was learning so much and everyone was nice but I needed to find something that was close to work and uni so I could consistently fit into my life.
So I ended up joining not one but two global-type gyms. I joined the Virgin Active gym which is less than a 10 minute walk from work. I’ve been trying out a few of their random classes and doing a mini WOD beforehand. I have also signed up for an indoor rockclimbing induction (so I could do it on my own). I also bought 3 sessions of personal training just to get a better feel for the gym.
The other gym is Crunch Fitness which is near my SO’s place. I decided to join up because it was ridiculously cheap (founder membership deal as it opens at the end of September) that both my SO and his mother joined up. Both have never joined a gym before so it would be good for my SO to be interested in my interest in fitness and for my SO’s mum to get some exercise after chemotherapy.
Also it is good timing as my SO and I are going to do a spring fitness challenge in time for summer.
I have also spoken to a few colleagues from work who I played touch football with and found out that they do some crossfit WODs in a playground near work during lunch in prep for Tough Mudder. So I asked to join them and went for my first short but sweet session today.
WOD:
I am looking forward to doing more workouts with these guys and perhaps maybe writing up my own WODs for these guys to do.
Only I would do something stupid as to bruise my wrist when I tried my first Pilates reformer class (ignore the heart tattoo).
Just signed up for Tough Mudder in Sydney, February 2013.
